Commit to meatless Mondays to reduce your carbon footprint

Welcome to the “Meatless Monday pledge: Small change, big impact!”

Did you know that our food choices can have tremendous impact on the environment? By making one simple choice and that is to not eat meat for one day a week, can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save water and conserve earth’s resources. This change can be as simple as enjoying your favourite meatless meals – such as vegetable dishes, bean soups or salads. Once a week is all it takes. Why a Monday? Starting the week with a small change can have a positive impact on the days ahead. Meatless Mondays began as a way to help people make small adjustments that would add up over time, creating benefits for both the health of the individual and the health of the planet.

In this challenge you will answer a set of questions that will help you reflect on the environmental and health benefits of not eating meat for one day a week. Will it make a difference?
